Prayers for Healing

In times of physical and emotional distress, it is important for believers to draw nearer to God through the power of prayers for healing. As we speak to God in these moments, our spirits are renewed, our emotions are uplifted, and our bodies are strengthened.

As Christans, we acknowledge that intercessory prayer not only invokes the power of God on our behalf, but it will summons the Holy Spirit to provide physical healing to our loved ones. God’s divine healing is available for those who simply ask with a genuine heart. God’s word says in Isaiah 58:5, “Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.”

Read and recite the following prayers for healing during your hard times and have faith that God will restore you and give you deliverance according to His word and His will.

Morning Psalms

You, God, are my God,
    earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
    my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
    where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary
    and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
    my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
    and in your name I will lift up my hands.
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
    with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you;
    I think of you through the watches of the night.
Because you are my help,
    I sing in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you;
    your right hand upholds me.

Healing Prayer of Surrender

Dear Lord, it is my will to surrender to you everything that I am and everything that I’m striving to be. I open the deepest recesses of my heart and invite Your Holy Spirit to dwell inside of me. I offer you my life, heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. I surrender to you my past, present, and future problems. I ask You to take hold over every aspect of my life. I surrender to You all my hurt, pain, worry, doubt, fear, and anxiety, and I ask You to wash me clean. I release everything into Your compassionate care.
Please speak to me clearly, Lord. Open my ears to hear Your voice. Open my heart to commune with You more deeply. I want to feel Your loving embrace. Open the doors that need to be opened and close the doors that need to be closed. Please set my feet upon the straight and narrow road that leads to everlasting life. Amen.
